Paulinka Franiczek
R.Ac
Paulinka (she/her) has been working in the healthcare industry for about 10 years, doing everything from personal and group training to kinesiology and rehabilitation. Her passion for travel has had her working all over the world, and what she noticed was that preventative healthcare shared a lot of similarities no matter where it was practiced. She graduated from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2020, and was practicing acupuncture in Toronto until moving to the island this year. Her love for nature has made it a very easy transition, and she believes that living closer in tune with the elements will strengthen her practice even more. Paulinka’s approach to therapy is simple; she believes that the body has the innate ability to heal itself, although sometimes, there may be obstructions that prevent it from being able to do so. Through her experience, she believes that acupuncture has a way of bringing the body the tools it needs to get back into its natural balance.
After graduation, Paulinka decided to pursue further training in 5 Element Needle Technique. This form of practice traces back to the ancient Chinese philosophies that the body is interconnected with the 5 elements- Water, Wood, Fire, Earth and Metal. Each of these correspond to a different organ, and emotion. Paulinka has found that this sort of treatment can stimulate positive emotional release, which is why it is very important for her to create a safe and nourishing environment for her patients. To her, every acupuncture session will have a different approach, even if the main issue is still the same and it is this creative aspect of healing that keeps her loving what she does.
In her spare time, Paulinka spends all her time either outside or in the kitchen. She loves to cook, but also makes her own tinctures, teas and salves. She also has a passion for aromatherapy, and loves to apply this to her treatment methods in the clinic.
